I have the honor to report that on the 1st Ultimo, 24 Chinese Convicts were embarked on board the British Ship Speedy for conveyance to Singapore, in pursuance of the terms of their respective Sentences.
I enclose a List of the Crimes with periods of Transportation.
On this occasion the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company's vessel was chartered.
